• 'Byleat on Dartmoor' is located within the Dartmoor National Park at Yelverton, 6 miles from Tavistock and 10 miles from Plymouth, the great Elizabethan home port of Sir Francis Drake, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America.
• Following the A386 highway from either Okehampton to the South or from Plymouth to the North, the A386 leads to the roundabout at Yelverton.
• Continuing around this roundabout clockwise from the A386 towards Plymouth for approximately 450 yards until you see a pair of rough grey granite posts set in the verge upon your left hand side, marking our private tarmac drive way signed 'Byleat'. You have arrived!
• Alternatively, the Dartmoor Scenic route from Asburton traverses across the centre of Dartmoor. At Ashburton take the Dartmeet route, turn off to Holne, continue up past Venford Reservoir, through Hecksworthy and join the B3557 towards Two Bridges. Here turn on to the B3212 to Princetown and Yelverton. At Yelverton roundabout follow instructions as above.
